  4. Crick says:

Woodstock is in the quiet northeast corner of CT next to Putnam. It would be great to see you and meet your wife, Jim.

  5. Jim Coates says:

    Crick:
Sorry, I am not up on my CT geography and my atlas doesn’t list Woodstock, what town is near. I know that we will be in Northeastern CT following the reunion if we go. Sorry to hear that you will not be there.
    Jim

  6. Crick says:

No Jim, I have no plans to attend the reunion. Becki and I live in Woodstock CT so if you are in the area let us know. Brooke Maury will be there at the reunion.

    Crick:

Are you and Beth going to 50th reunion? Have heard from any of the old crowd that they might attend?

Diane, You will have to email or send it to me. Email: paloaltoeast@hotmail.com. Address: PO Box 413, Woodstock CT 06281

    I can send it back.

  9. Diane Wilkinson Trefethen says:

    Hi Crick,

I am embarrassed to say I can’t see how to upload a picture. It isn’t one that pertains to a comment already on the website – it is a birthday party pic.

  10. Crick says:

I remember your last name. Jog my memory, Jeff.

  11. Jeff von Dwingelo says:

Hi Cricky, how have you been.

ROWAYTON what a great town to grow up in.

  13. connie says:

Shari, You asked if Lynn Hegeman was related to John and Bill. She is their younger sister. John and Bill were older than me and Lynn was about four years younger (I graduated from high school in 1961.) I don’t know what has become of John and Bill, but perhaps you can get in touch with Lynn who is represented elsewhere on this site.

  14. Shari Taylor Grove says:

Thanks Crick. I have my 50th NHS reunion next month and will ask my classmates about Martha. I am in Cambridge, MA recently retired from academia having spent years being a resesarch llibrarian. This fall I will dig out b/w photos taken at Rowayton School with the famous chain link fence backdrop and send them.

  15. Crick says:

Shari, Where are you now. I wish we could connect with Martha. Paul doesn’t want to participate. If you have any pictures or stories that you would like to post, send them along to paloaltoeast@hotmail.com .

  16. Shari Taylor Grove says:

Cricky, Thank you for starting RowaytonKids site. It is terrific! Beautiful Leavitt family photos. I enjoyed browsing, reading and recalling my Rowayton School days. Although you may not remember me, I recall Mrs. Tebo (Martha and Paul’s Mom) saying your name and as a child it had such a ring -”Cricky Leavitt”. I never knew you as John! I haven’t seen Martha Tebo since grade school.
Question- Cricky, is Lynn Hegemen related to John and Bill Hegeman? John and I were in Mrs. Buchanan’s 3rd grade.

  17. Peggy Gibbs says:

    Thanks Crick!

I use a site called US Search, enter a first and last name and all known locations and age display. From there, whitepages.com can be used to find address and phone number.

  18. Crick says:

Peggy, You can email them to me. I’ll send you our home email. I can generate electronic pictures from slides and negatives if you can’t.

How did you find that address? I will try to contact him.

  19. Peggy Gibbs says:

Crick – Based on what you said about Tupper yesterday, I think I found an address for him in OH if you are interested. 6136 Federalist Drive; Galloway, OH 43119-8274 – No phone. Thought, as you and he are cousins you might be interested in dropping him a note.

Hope to set up my new scanner today and take a trip down memory lane with the zillion pics my Mom left behind. Hopefully there are some Rowayton ones in there to post. How do I do that?.

  20. Crick says:

It’s sad, Peggy, because we have lost touch with Tupper. We have had some contact with Meg over the years. I don’t know if you are aware of the tragedy of Lois, their mother, and Rex’s untimely death which may have torn the family apart. I do not know if Meg has been in touch with Tupper.

His name is “Loyd (or Lloyd) Rex Gatten”. I could not find him on Google.

Here are some pictures of Meg and Tupper. Meg daughter Heidi, a star long-distance runner in college, married recently.

  21. Peggy Gibbs says:

Crick — You mentioned your Uncle Rex Gatten in a previous post. I was in school with Tupper Gatten. Do you know where Tupper is these days and what he’s up to?

  22. Crick says:

Jeff, I sent you an email. Crick

  23. JEFF REES says:

CRICK, HOW DO I GET A PICTURE OR TWO TO YOU FOR PUBLICATION??

  24. Crick says:

I believe it’s only on your screen. It’s not on my screen.

The website platform is recognizing your computer. It is set up so the when you first post a comment, the comment has to be moderated. After Admin approves your first comment (in this case me), the website recognizes you and lets you post your own comments.

  25. Crick–

Do you know why “Leave a Reply” with my email address etc. now appears under every person’s bio and under every posting? Or is it just on my screen?

  26. Janis says:

Wow! You’ve really done a good job on your site. I have a question: I corrected a name for the picture “Women Show Their Legs” but I wasn’t sure where to put it, so I put it under my name. I don’t think that’s the right place. Please advise. Keep up the good work!
    Janis
